      Comments:

I severely broke my ankle a couple years ago and sold my bike (broke it walking!! - slipped on the ice). I am petrified of falling again. I really missed my bike though. The Flat-Foot technology has made me feel safe riding a bike again. I am a 70 year old female. I ride for pleasure and exercise. I would especially recommend this bike to older people who just want to safely enjoy biking. 3-speeds are adequate for my needs. Also, the coaster brake and hand brake add to safety and control. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!! Thank you!!! I could be your "poster girl" for this bike.

        Comments:

I LOVE this bike. For years I had English racer style bikes, but because of arthritis I could no longer stand the stress on my back and wrists. I purchased the Townie 3i in a girly pearl pink, in January 2010, after hoping it would work with my health issues. At age 57 I am happily back on the road, and a little off the road, too. I don't plan to take it in thick sand, but this bike feels very stable and handles well in sandy patches on the road (even while turning), and bumpy unpaved roads are no longer a worry, either. Although not a competitor by any definition, an hour or two several times a week gives me a workout, without the stress on my lower back. I like the versatility of being able to use either the hand brake or the coaster brake and I do use all 3 speeds on most routes. I will definitely will buy another, if I ever wear this one out.
